Patrick Reed pleased with form ahead of Travelers Championship

Patrick Reed believes his first win of the season is not far away, as he looks to continue his form at this week’s Travelers Championship.
The 25-year-old has already posted eight worldwide top-10s this year, but hasn't registered a victory since last January's Hyundai Tournament of Champions.
Reed was in contention at The Open and the PGA Championship in recent weeks on his way to tied-12th and tied-13th finishes, with the American encouraged by his recent displays as he looks to cement his place in the USA's Ryder Cup plans.
"My game I feel like is trending in the right direction," Reed said. "There are a lot of good things I've been doing, especially on consistency.
"This year kind of has shown that with having the most Top 10s I've had in a season.
"I feel like I'm hitting the ball decent. I wouldn't say I'm hitting it exactly how I want to, but it's good enough to get the ball on the fairway and on the greens.
"The main thing for me is keep moving forward. My time will come, so I just need to keep improving every aspect of the game, and hopefully I'll be in the winners' circle."
Reed tees off for the opening two rounds alongside Matt Kuchar and two-time Travelers champion Bubba Watson, who defeated Paul Casey in a play-off last time around.
Watson claimed the first of nine PGA Tour victories at TPC River Highland in 2010, when he prevailed in a three-man play-off, with the tournament holding special memories for the world No 6.
"To win any tournament and win it again, is a big thrill and big honour," Watson said.
"Winning the Travelers Championship for myself is very important because in 2010 my dad passed away three months after the event, so it's the only win he got to see me."
Tyrrell Hatton is in the field after three top-10s in as many starts, while fellow European Ryder Cup hopefuls Soren Kjeldsen and Shane Lowry also feature.
