Jamie Spence is rewarded for his part in the Rio Olympics

Jamie Spence may not have been awarded Olympic gold for his work in Rio, but his efforts didn’t go unnoticed by the Sky Sports Golf team.

Spence had the role of Golf Team Leader for Team GB during the Olympics, as golf made its return to the games after an 112-year absence.

The 50-year-old had Justin Rose and Danny Willett at his disposal in the men's event, while Charley Hull and Catriona Matthew made up the British interest in the women's competition.

Rose went on to claim Olympic men's gold, seeing off Henrik Stenson in a final round tussle, but the presentations didn't include the entire British golf team.

With Spence leaving Brazil without a medal, the Sky Sports Golf team decided to present him with a golden award of his own - albeit of a chocolate nature!
