Bubba Watson broke down in tears after the USA won the Ryder Cup at Hazeltine

A second Ryder Cup win of the century was just too emotional for USA vice-captain Bubba Watson.

The 2012 and 2014 Masters champion, who missed out on Davis Love III's final captain's pick to Ryan Moore, was a late vice-captain's selection and he was every bit as emotional as if he had been playing when USA sealed victory over Europe.

And when Moore sunk the putt to beat Lee Westwood that secured the first US win since 2008, the cameras found Watson and Love in a warm, emotional embrace.

"Thank you so much, thanks for having me," Watson, who we also saw cry after his 2012 Masters win and when just talking about it in 2013, told Love. "I love you too man, thanks for everything."
