Defending champion Brandt Snedeker and Patrick Rodgers grabbed a share of the lead heading in to the final round of the Farmers Insurance Open.
Rodgers carded a bogey-free 67 at Torrey Pines to set the clubhouse target, with Snedeker birdieing his penultimate hole to close a two-under 70 and also get to nine under.
Tony Finau and Cheng Tsung Pan sit a stroke back in a share of third, while overnight leader Justin Rose is one of nine players on seven under.
Snedeker grabbed the early lead by following a tap-in gain at the second with a birdie-two at the next, before Ollie Schniederjans briefly joined him thanks to three birdies in his opening seven holes.
Rose slipped further behind with a three-putt at the seventh, as Schniederjans opened his back nine with successive bogeys and Snedeker dropped a shot at the 12th to slip off top spot.
Rodgers surged up the leaderboard thanks to four birdies in a five-hole stretch around the turn and edged ahead with a two-putt gain at the par-five 14th.
The American's stint as outright leader was ended when Snedeker converted a five-foot birdie at the 17th and parred the last, leaving him well-placed to challenge for a third victory in the event.
Schniederjans missed a par-save from seven feet at the 16th and failed to make birdie from a similar distance at the last to finish two shots alongside Rose, who stuttered to a one-over 71.
Paul Casey sits in the group on six under following a four-under 68, joining Francesco Molinari and Jon Rahm three strokes off the pace.
A blemish-free second nine leaves Phil Mickelson on five under with Hideki Matsuyama a further shot back, while Shane Lowry remains level-par for the week following a third-round 72.
