Charley Hull tells Sportswomen her hopes for 2017

Charley Hull is confident she can build on her end of season success and challenge for major titles in 2017.

The 20-year-old registered her maiden LPGA Tour title at the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship in November, before claiming a runner-up spot at the Ladies European Tour's finale in Dubai a fortnight later.

Hull has since moved inside the world's top 20 and will play regularly on the LPGA Tour in 2017, ahead of an expected third Solheim Cup appearance for Europe this summer.

Although Hull missed the cut in the opening event of this campaign at last month's Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic, she believes she can replicate her strong finish to 2016 over the year ahead.

"I'm looking forward to it (2017)," Hull told Sportswomen. "I finished really well (in 2016) and I'm just looking forward to going out there and playing golf again.

"It (the win) gave me loads of confidence and then the runner-up finish in Dubai two weeks later gave me even more.

"It has just made me understand how I feel coming down the stretch in a big tournament leading it and then winning it."
