BunkerCam debuts at The Open on Sky Sports

The Open Zone returns on Sky Sports this year at Royal Birkdale, with BunkerCam one of a host of new features for the 146th Championship.

With the aid of BunkerCam, viewers will be able to see the world's best players take on bunker shots like never before.

It's just one of several revamps featuring in Sky Sports' coverage from Royal Birkdale this year, with HoleCam set to prove another exciting addition.

The cameras placed on the 18th green will give fans a brand new perspective on proceedings, while hawk-eye green reader will provide detailed analysis on six greens.

Also new in 2017, computer controlled putting surface Zen Green makes its UK television debut and will provide the pros with hanging and sloping lies.

The surface also doubles up as a putting green and can recreate putts from the course with single and double breaks.

There will be more than 50 hours of live coverage throughout the week on Sky Sports, showing the opening tee-shot at 6.35am on Thursday all the way through to the final putt on Sunday evening.
