Laura Davies and Paula Creamer qualify for Women's British Open

Dame Laura Davies will make a 37th consecutive appearance at the Women’s British Open after progressing through Final Qualifying on Monday.
The 53-year-old claimed one of 22 places available at The Castle Course in St Andrews, with six-time Solheim Cup star Paula Creamer among the others from the 111-strong field to progress.
Creamer posted a four-under 68 to finish in a share of second behind Finland's Ursula Wikstrom, while Davies needed a play-off to progress after carding a two-under 70.
The 1986 champion was one of 14 players involved in the play-off and chasing one of the remaining 11 places, where a par at the first extra hole was enough for her to qualify for Kingsbarns.
"I've played in the last 36 Opens and have never had to qualify so this is a new experience for me," Davies said. "I don't like it very much.
"I played well but I'm disappointed because I bogeyed 16 and damn near bogeyed 18 as well. It would have been nice to shoot four under."
Wilkstrom carded a blemish-free 67 to top the standings, with Tiffany Joh and Ashleigh Buhai joining Creamer one off the pace.
"I've always liked a challenge and I'm very pleased with how I played," Creamer said. "I haven't missed a British Open since I turned professional and I didn't want to start now."
Wales' Lydia Hall was one of seven players to qualify with a three-under 69, while Scotland's Heather Macrae joined Davies in the group to progress through extra holes.
