Gary Player has expressed his deep concerns about the health and fitness of young people.
On National Fitness Day, the 81-year-old spoke out about his concerns about a populace which does not get enough exercise or pay close enough attention to their diets.
White bread, doughnuts and fatty bacon drew particular criticism from the three-time Open champion.
Player himself maintains a strict personal fitness regime and believes there are "very few 40-year-olds" who can compete with him in the gym.
