Thomas Pieters made no hiding of his displeasure as he lost use of a club during the second round of the BMW PGA Championship.
Pieters struggled to an opening three-over-par 75 at Wentworth and his second round did not start on a more positive note, after two dropped shots through his opening three holes.
The Belgian found an ideal line for his second shot to the par-five fourth as he sought to gain some momentum in the right direction.
But after misjudging his second shot to the green, Pieters snapped his iron behind his shoulder as the three-time winner on tour lost control of his emotions.
Despite his sign of frustration he managed to compose himself and card a par to remain at five over par for the tournament.
He subsequently managed to gain a couple of shots as he carded a level-par 72 but was still well outside the cut mark as he finished on three over.
