Charley Hull remains in contention for a second LPGA Tour title after staying within three strokes of the lead heading into the final round of the LPGA Mediheal Championship.
The Englishwoman - a winner earlier in the year on the Ladies European Tour - posted a second successive 70 in California to get into second spot and ensure she will be in the final group on Sunday alongside leader Sei Young Kim.
Kim fired a four-under 68 at Lake Merced Golf Club to move to 10 under and secure a commanding 54-hole advantage, while Puerto Rico's Mari Torres sits five off the pace in third place.
"I feel like it's more of a challenge, not as much of a birdie fest," said Hull. "I feel like this golf course really suits me."
Hull bogeyed the second but recovered well with birdies on the sixth and eighth, as Kim rebounded from an opening bogey with a chip-in eagle on the par-five fifth to double her overnight lead to two.

Kim added birdies at the 11th, 15th and 18th to close out a blemish-free back nine, as Hull picked up a shot at the 15th but missed a six-foot birdie chance at the par-five last.
World No 2 Minjee Lee is part of a group of five players lying six strokes back in tied-fourth, while England's Bronte Law dropped into a share of 20th after a third-round 75.
