Bryson DeChambeau insists there’s ‘something fun coming’ and a ‘lot of potential’ in LIV Golf to continue beyond their season finale in Indianapolis.
The 2026 LIV Golf League campaign finished a week early at The Club at Chatham Hills, following the cancellation of the Team Championship, with Michael La Sasso claiming his breakthrough professional victory and Jon Rahm's Legion XIII securing the team title.
LIV chief executive Scott O'Neil told reporters on Wednesday he was optimistic about their reimagined plans for 2027, despite the loss of financial backing from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), with players set to be equity owners and have their commercial rights restored.

O'Neil confirmed an initial proposed calendar for five team championships and five individual tournaments, all scheduled around the majors, with DeChambeau heavily involved in discussions over their long-term future and appearing positive about how it could look.
"I think there's a lot of potential moving forward," DeChambeau said after his final round. "It has been an interesting ride, that's for sure. You know everything that we've gone through and the tough moments that we've had, but it's made us stronger.
"As much as we're transitioning from LIV 1.0 to 2.0, I have great thoughts about what could happen next year. I wish I could be more up front about it.
"Ultimately, I'm proud of the fact of what we've done - the good and some of the bad that we've unfortunately had, things that have occurred. I'm going to be real with it; not everything was perfect, but for the most part we've done a solid job.
"If there's one thing that I could say, it's we did something different in the game of golf, and I'm proud of that."
He later added as he walked away from his post-round TV interview: "I think there's something fun coming."
LIV has spent more than $5 billion in five years, pulling some of the world's best and upcoming talent away from traditional golf tours, with significant investment required for them to continue beyond this season.
O'Neil said he has a "good level of confidence" that a "critical mass of the right players" will return, with Rahm under contract next season but DeChambeau's set to expire at the end of this season.
Rahm finished the LIV Golf campaign with his third straight season points title and his second team crown in a row, with the Spaniard among those waiting to see what happens to the circuit.
"I'm looking forward to going home and helping my very pregnant wife with the kids," Rahm said. "The fourth one is due in October, and I'm happy to be dad for a few days before I get back to grinding for the Irish Open, and mainly looking forward to a haircut because I need one badly."
When asked whether LIV Golf's uncertain future made it hard to focus on the golf, Rahm added: "Not really. There's been a lot that's surrounded all of us for pretty much since we joined.
"At the end of the day, once we step on the golf course, it's just golf. Everything else goes away, and we just compete. It hasn't been any harder or easier than it was."
