Ryder Cupper handed huge fine by Danish court

Danish golfer Soren Hansen has been fined around £750,000 for tax evasion. The 36-year-old was ordered to pay the sum after the Copenhagen City Court ruled he was guilty of evasion from 2002 to 2006. The world number 58 - who represented Europe in the Ryder Cup two years ago, had claimed his primary residence was in Monaco during that period. However, the court ruled that Hansen actually lived in Denmark and avoided paying Danish taxes. Hansen is competing at Wentworth this week in the BMW PGA Championship which has a first prize of over £637,000.
