English pair going well in Ryder Cup race
English youngster Tom Lewis currently finds himself in position to qualify for Europe's 2012 Ryder Cup team.
Lewis is not the only surprise name in contention for a place on Jose Maria Olazabal's side - fellow Englishman Sam Little is there too.
Little has been competing on the 'second division' Challenge Tour this season and has claimed three wins in his last four events.
That has not only earned him an instant return to the main circuit, but has also put him ninth in the current Ryder Cup standings - just ahead of world number six Martin Kaymer.
The top five players on a European points list and top five not already qualified from a world points list qualify for the European team on August 26 next year, with captain Jose Maria Olazabal then adding two wild cards.
