Home hope Daniel Popovic carded a 69 to head into Sunday's final round of the Australian PGA with a two-stroke lead on the Sunshine Coast.
A further shot back on 10-under was last week's winner Peter Senior and Matthew Griffin. Brendan Jones, who finished as runner-up to Senior at the Australian Masters, is one of four players back on nine-under while defending champion Greg Chalmers lay six shoots adrift after carding a 68. Former Open champion Darren Clarke, the biggest overseas name in the line-up, began the day well with three birdies in the first five holes, but two double-bogeys on the back nine saw him stumble to even par for the round and five-under for the tournament.
