Meet Jack Dirkin - the five-year-old from Telford in Shropshire who is already regarded as one of the brightest golfing prospects in the country.

Having topped his age group at the UK Championship at St Andrews, Dirkin is now hoping to compete in the World Under-6 Championship at historic Pinehurst in North Carolina this summer.

Blessed with a remarkable talent, and a swing many pros would admire, the diminutive left-hander lists Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy as his favourite players because: "I like their drivers!"

His coach Matt Lea told Sky Sports News HQ: "The best thing is, he doesn't know how good he is. He's got fantastic ability and hits the ball as far as boys twice his age. It looks effortless and he's a natural."

Jack's father, Chris, is now working hard along with the rest of the Dirkin family to raise around £6,000 they need to fund their trip to North Carolina in July.
