1. Davies' delight

Dame Laura Davies confirmed her place in Solheim Cup history with a record-breaking win during the 2011 tournament.

The point she claimed during her victory alongside Mel Reid saw Davies replace Annika Sorenstam's record as the all-time leading scorer.

The pair saw off Michelle Wie and Brittany Lang 4&3 in the Saturday foursome, helping Europe to a long-awaited triumph.

2. Anna's ace

Anna Nordqvist hit the first ever hole-in-one in Solheim Cup history two years' ago to help Europe to victory in Colorado.

The Swede and her partner Caroline Hedwall had found themselves one hole down with five to play, but went to the penultimate level following a short birdie putt at the 16th.

Nordqvist did the damage by nailing her 187-yard tee-shot at the 17th with a seven-iron, guiding Europe to their first win of the day.

3. Perfect Pettersen

Suzann Pettersen birdied the last three holes against Michelle Wie in 2011 to snatch victory in her Sunday singles match and set Europe on their way to a first win in four attempts.

With the momentum with the USA and Pettersen struggling late in the round, the Norwegian picked up a shot at the 16th before going on to see off the favourite on the final green.

Soon after Pettersen claimed victory, team mates Caroline Hedwall and Azahara Munoz followed suit to set Europe to a 15-13 win.

4.Heroic Hedwall

The-then rookie made history by becoming the first player in Solheim Cup to win maximum points from five matches in 2013.

Having played a part in two wins on each of the first two days, Hedwall had found herself all square heading to the final hole of her singles match against Michelle Wie before sinking her winning birdie.

That putt didn't just secure her place in Solheim Cup folklore, but was the point Europe needed to secure their tile defence.

5. Karine's putt

A stunning 40-foot putt from off the 18th green gave Karine Icher and her playing partner Beatriz Recari an unlikely victory in their Saturday afternoon fourball.

That long-range gain saw off Cristie Kerr and Morgan Pressel and extended Europe's advantage in 2013, as they completed a clean-sweep in the afternoon fourballs.

With Europe moving five points clear heading in to the Sunday singles, the visitors would go on to dominate the final day and seal a record-breaking win.
