Danny Willett ended the week as a European Tour winner for the fourth time, and he would have had an inkling that he was in for a good week when he enjoyed a moment of outrageous good fortune on the 13th in the first round when his ball defied various laws in a successful attempt to avoid a watery grave.

Dubai specialist Rory McIlroy enjoyed a high-flying zip-wire ride over the city before seeing the funny side of his bizarre introduction on the first tee, and he will look forward to returning in 2019.

Andy Sullivan was the star of Dude Perfect and produced some memorable out-takes, and we find out some predictable differences in the bags of Matt Fitzpatrick and John Daly.
