Shot tracker captures Jon Rahm's shank at the Quicken Loans National

Just to prove that the odd shank can happen to the best of players, Jon Rahm's was captured by the Shot Tracker technology at the Quicken Loans National.
Rahm, playing his first event as a professional having won leading amateur honours at the US Open last week, has enjoyed a dream start to life among the paid ranks at the Quicken Loans National.
The 21-year-old Spaniard led the Tiger Woods-hosted event at Congressional after a first-round 64 and a 67 on day two was good enough for a share of the halfway lead with Billy Hurley.
But he also endured the downside of being in the spotlight when he came to the par-three 13th on Saturday, picking an inopportune time to make his worst swing of the week.
Hitting just an eight-iron off the tee, there was more hosel in contact with his ball than the clubface and the tracking ribbon gave him away.
Rahm's ball careered low and hard off to the right at almost a 45-degree angle to the line he was hoping for, and he was unable to avoid his second bogey in three holes.
To his credit, he bounced back with a birdie at 16 and salvaged a 70 which kept him within three shots of leader Hurley, but his moment of misfortune at the 13th will not be the highlight of his professional debut.
