Sung Kang let his frustrations get the better of him after losing his overnight advantage during the final round of the Houston Open.

Kang held the largest 36-hole lead of the PGA Tour season after a course record-equalling 63 during the second round on Friday, with the world No 202 still three strokes clear heading into the final round.

The South Korean drained a 20-footer at the fourth but missed from six feet to save par at the seventh, before cancelling out a two-putt birdie at the eighth with another blemish at the next.

Reaching the turn level-par, Kang lost his position as outright leader when Russell Henley followed a front-nine 33 with a birdie-three at the 10th.

Kang then misjudged his approach into the 12th green and his anger was clear to see, as after dropping his club to the ground, he kicked it along the fairway.
