David Lingmerth looks back at the highlights of his bogey-free 65 at the Quicken Loans National.

David Lingmerth carded a second successive 65 to double his advantage heading into the weekend at the Quicken Loans National.

The Swede struck five birdies in a flawless display at TPC Potomac to move two strokes clear of nearest challenger Geoff Ogilvy, who also was five under for day.

With the morning starters benefiting from the best of the conditions, Lingmerth rolled in a 15-foot birdie at the second and drained a 25-footer at the next.

Lingmerth added another gain at the fifth to reach the turn in 32 and posted a close-range birdie at the 10th, before sliding in from eight feet at the last to set the clubhouse target at 10 under.

Beginning on the back nine, Ogilvy birdied three of his first four holes but missed an eight-footer to save par at the 15th.

The Australian posted back-to-back birdies from the first and added a kick-in gain at the fourth, with a run of two-putt pars over the closing stretch ensuring he would hold on to outright second.

"I'm not done yet," Ogilvy said. "Feel like I've got a lot of good golf, so a win would be great. That gets me back to the Masters and effectively a three-year exemption."

Daniel Summerhays lies four strokes off the pace in the third spot, one ahead of Sung Kang and Arjun Atwal, with Nick Taylor and Ricky Barnes inside the top-10.

Two bogeys over his final three holes saw Patrick Reed post a two-over 72 and slip nine strokes off the pace, while Justin Thomas missed the cut despite a closing birdie.
