American choses to re-hire former caddie Bobby Brown
Dustin Johnson has gone back to the future and reunited with his former caddie Bobby Brown.
The big-hitting American had been without a permanent bag-man since the end of September when Joe LaCava announced he was ending their partnership to work with Tiger Woods.
Johnson had originally parted company with Brown back in April and then joined forces with LaCava who had previously spent 20 years on the bag of Fred Couples.
Johnson and Brown won four PGA titles during their first stint together, but the caddie came in for criticism as the 27-year-old missed out on two majors in 2010.
Blunders
Firstly Johnson shot an 82 to throw away a three-shot lead heading into the final round of the US Open, then he received a two-shot penalty for grounding his club at the USPGA Championship which cost him a place in the play-off.
Brown also came under fire when Johnson was late for his tee-time at the Northern Trust Open earlier this year which also resulted in a two-shot penalty.
However, those blunders appear to have been forgotten, with Johnson confirming he is now re-employing Brown.
"I am really excited to have Bobby back on the bag," Johnson told the
Golf Channel. "He and I have always been tight and I appreciate his work ethic.
"At the end of the day, it's about results, and four of my five wins came with Bobby at my side. We're both expecting big things in 2012."
