2015 US Open winner: Jordan Spieth rules at Chambers Bay

Each day ahead of the US Open we'll be taking a look back at the most recent winners of the major. Today it's Jordan Spieth at Chambers Bay in 2015.
Spieth had announced himself to the world with victory at The Masters earlier in the year, and he would follow that up with his second major triumph.
As a result, he became the youngest US Open champion in 92 years at the age 21, and also became the youngest player to win those two majors ever. Tiger Woods had previously held the record as a 26-year-old.
Dustin Johnson and Henrik Stenson were the early pace-setters with a five-under opening round of 65, while Spieth made a 68. And his second-round 67 saw him claim the joint lead along with Patrick Reed heading into the weekend.
A 71 on the Saturday allowed the chasing pack back in and he was tied with Johnson, Branden Grace and Jason Day on four under heading into the final day.
A bogey on the first handed the initiative to Johnson in the final round, and he held a two-stroke lead heading into the back nine. Three bogies would follow in four holes, however, to allow Spieth to reclaim the lead, and he had a three-shot lead until a double bogey on the 17th allowed Johnson to move level.

Spieth birdied the 18th and was all set to prepare for a Monday play-off with Johnson, but he missed a 12-footer to win and then a three-foot putt to tie, handing victory to his fellow American.
