John Senden and Bubba Watson make similar, entertaining birdies at Baltusrol

John Senden and Bubba Watson thought they had missed out on birdies early in their first rounds at the PGA Championship, but both were thankful for the laws of gravity at Baltusrol.
Senden's birdie putt on the 16th clung onto the edge of the hole and looked to have settled as he made his way round to tap in for par.
But the Australian enjoyed a welcome surprise when, after taking a close look to see just how close he was to the hole, his ball decided to drop belatedly, moments before he lined up to do it himself.
The rules state that you have 10 seconds to wait once you have reached your ball, and he was certainly within those limits as he moved to two under before adding a more routine birdie at 18 to complete a flawless back-nine 33.

And there was a similar situation at the second, where Watson's ball looked to have missed on the left before oscillating and tumbling south, prompting a delightful reaction from the two-time Masters champion.
