Your chance to play The Grove the day after the British Masters

The 'Monday-round-with-Sunday-pins' package (Monday October 17) is one of many unique golf experiences being offered by European Tour Travel Club.

After its successful return at Woburn last year, the British Masters supported by Sky Sports heads to The Grove in Hertfordshire, from October 13-16.

Hosted by former world No 1 Luke Donald, the tournament will boast a stellar line-up including newly-crowned Olympic gold medallist Justin Rose and the defending champion Matthew Fitzpatrick.

The Grove, a picturesque course located just 18 miles from central London, is no stranger to the spotlight after playing host to the World Golf Championship in 2006, an event won by none other than Tiger Woods.

Set in 300-acres of mature parkland, The Grove - which is known as 'London's country estate' - is widely recognised as one of Europe's best modern golf venues and was voted the No.1 Golf Resort in England by Golf Monthly magazine.

It's also become a hot attraction for celebrity golfers; Niall Horan, Denise Van Outen and Ronan Keating are regularly seen playing and practising here. It was also the venue for a friendly game between President Barack Obama and David Cameron in April 2016.

It's easy to see why The Grove Hotel has become the place to be seen - and to play golf.

Opened in 2003, renowned architect Kyle Phillips (designer of Kingsbarns, Yas Links and Dundonald Links) has cleverly worked the natural contours of the land to create a charming course whose cunningly angled greens and tricky run-off areas reward precision play.

Accuracy may be key, but woe betide the golfer who forgets their driver, for the course stretches a hefty 7,152 yards from the back tees.

Described by Ernie Els as 'one of the best conditioned golf courses in Europe,' the par-72 has earned itself a reputation for being in immaculate condition come rain or shine, and with the undulating and fast greens rolling true all-year round there really is no excuse for the putts not to drop.

The eyes of the golfing world may be on The Grove come October but there are other golfing treats to feast upon in the region and which are included in the 'Monday-round-with-Sunday-pins' from European Tour Travel Club.

The Palmerston Course at Brocket Hall is a real gem. Located just a little further out from the capital and set in the opulent surroundings of an 18th century estate, the par-73 championship course winds its way through majestic specimen trees.

One of two courses at Brocket Hall to be named after former Prime Ministers, the Donald Steel design requires the golfer to contend with bold bunkering as well as the ancient woodland that acts as a spectacular hazard on almost every hole.

Arguably the Palmerston's best hole is the par-4 12th which features a unique chalk face set 100 yards short of the green and, as with much of the course, requires the golfer to be pinpoint accurate off the tee.

Meanwhile Luton Hoo is yet another stand out golf course on Hertfordshire's border with Bedfordshire. Like both Brocket Hall and The Grove, this challenging course is quintessentially British, being also situated in the surroundings of an extensive parkland estate and provides the golfer with stunning scenery as well as a challenging test.
