Butch Harmon reflects on another US Open win for Brooks Koepka and backs Tommy Fleetwood for future major success.
It was fantastic Sunday and how it should be for the final round of a major. It was a beautiful day weather-wise, there were a tremendous amount of people watching and the course was set up the way it always should've been.
Relive the final round of the US Open as it happened at Shinnecock Hills.
It allowed for a guy to go out and shoot 63 and it allowed for a lot of good players to struggle and be unable to finish under par. It also allowed us in the commentary box to talk about the golf and not the golf course, which is what we always want to do.
Fleetwood played brilliantly today and is definitely going to win a major in the future. He had three good looks at birdies over the last three holes, but had to settle for a great 63.
It just goes to show how much of a real deal Fleetwood is. He came of age in this same event at Erin Hills and has impressed again in Long Island.
Many of the American fans didn't even know who he was and when they look at him with his long hair like a rock star they think he's going to be part of the entertainment, which he certainly was!

He almost won it last year, almost won it this year and there's no doubt he'll eventually win one, you mark my words.
Course controversy
There has been talk in this country for a long time and the USGA don't like hearing it, but they are a bunch of amateurs trying to run a professional event and it just doesn't work.
They stub their foot every time and they have been doing it for a long time. You would have thought after what happened here 14 years ago when they lost the golf course that it would never happen again, but they lost it again during that third round.
This golf course is one of the great golf courses of the United States. It is a wonderful place with a great layout and one of the oldest clubs in the country. Over par won this Championship, which shows it's a difficult golf course like it should be.
If you take the difficulty away and make it Mickey Mouse and trick it up with pin placements you can't putt to, it just becomes frustrating for the players.
On Sunday they got it right which meant we saw some great golf and produced a great champion in Brooks Koepka, who became the first back-to-back winner since Curtis Strange.
Brooks is a kid who four or five months ago wasn't sure if he'd be able to be playing golf, because he had a wrist injury and was able to compete or even practice.
He did everything he could do not to have surgery and after lots of rehab he finally got back and played his way back in to form over the past few weeks. He played beautifully and deserved his victory.
