Phil Mickelson maintained a four-stroke lead at the midway point of the Waste Management Phoenix Open but missed out on a PGA Tour record for the second straight day.
Three-time major winner Padraig Harrington slipped down the pecking order to joint 20th on eight under after he could manage a round of 70. Defending champion Kyle Stanley just made the cut - he was bang on the mark at four under - but all the British representatives bowed out. Another notable casualty was Jason Dufner, who failed to make the weekend after a Tour-leading 22 consecutive cuts made.
