Usain Bolt brilliantly responds to a question about doping in athletics after his farewell to the 100m ended in a World Championship final defeat

Usain Bolt could barely contain his emotion after reacting to a question about doping in athletics after seeing Justin Gatlin claim World Championship gold on Saturday.

The Jamaican sprinting legend took to the track in his final individual 100m race and was expected to claim yet another title to put the seal on his glittering career.

However a disappointing season caught up with Bolt and he was beaten into third place by the American pair of Christian Coleman and the controversial Gatlin who claimed a first world 100m title since 2005 in Helsinki.

Predictably there were boos from the crowd and then, as the trackside interviews and press conferences took place, the questions came about Gatlin's victory and his past, which has seen him twice banned for doping offences.

Bolt was magnanimous in his praise for Gatlin throughout but as the questions kept coming he erupted when asked about the winning time and any relation to a stronger anti-doping control.
