Estonian rider Rein Taaramae will join Katusha from Astana in 2016.

The 28-year-old climber won the Vuelta a Burgos in Spain and Arctic Race of Norway earlier this month.

Katusha have not revealed how long Taaramae has signed for.

He said: "I am so happy to come to this strong team. What convinced me the most to make the move was the fact that the team directors and the team manager really believe in me. I will be able to obtain more results than I have so far.

"My goal is to work for guys like Joaquim Rodriguez, but also for others. As long as the team wins, it doesn't matter if it is me or another rider who wins."

Taaramae finished 11th at the 2011 Tour de France and won a stage of the Vuelta a Espana the following month.
