Kurt Asle Arvesen
After 13 years as a professional, Kurt Asle Arvesen is now applying his considerable experience to the role of Sports Director.
A member of Team Sky since its inception, Arvesen arrived during his fifth spell as Norwegian road champion and competed for two seasons as the team found its feet on the world stage.
After playing his part in 12 victories, Arvesen bowed out at Paris-Tours in 2011 but his inspirational character and positive attitude ensured he was offered a new role as Race Coach.
In the two seasons that followed, Arvesen’s intimate knowledge of cycling, and the way he helped riders achieve their maximum potential, was rewarded by a switch to Sports Director at the start of 2015.
