Sport Performance brand ASICS becomes Team Sky's first Official Supplier of trainers for 2016.

A yearlong partnership between ASICS and Team Sky will bring performance expertise and science to the team's footwear.

A true sport performance brand with a long history of science and innovation, ASICS will supply technical running shoes to Team Sky during 2016 as Official Supplier of trainers.

ASICS will provide riders and staff with the GT-2000 4 lightweight running shoes, to add another layer of expertise to the team. The product will be worn on the podium, as well as for use in all off-bike training and preparation, including in the gym and on the road.

The GT-2000 4 is a lightweight running shoe that offers a supported fit and cushioned feel when out on the road. The GT-2000 4 has been a firm favourite with runners for a number of years and will cater perfectly for the needs of Team Sky.

Out of training and competition, ASICS will be supplying the team with its popular lifestyle trainers, ASICS Tiger, inspired by the running shoes of the 80s and 90s.
