Veteran American George Hincapie will leave Team Columbia to join BMC Racing for the 2010 season. Hincapie, 36, has signed a two-year deal and is looking forward to helping with the development of some of the team's young riders. Reigning world road race champion Alessandro Ballan has also joined BMC, along with Marcus Burghardt (Columbia), Karsten Kroon (Saxo Bank), Steve Morabito (Astana), Michael Schar (Astana) and Simon Zahner (neo-pro). "The idea of working with the young team and helping to build the program appealed to me," Hincapie told the BMC Racing's official website.
