Image: Nose surgery and not being picked for the European Championships in Sofia in September has been tough to take. But fit-again Jack was in action at the Feliks Stamm tournament in Warsaw. How would he cope?
Image: Enjoying a bye, Jack was up against Lee McGregor of Scotland. A place in the final beckoned for the winner in the 52kg category.
Image: Jack says: "I was nervous after six months out of the ring and it was added pressure against McGregor, who had just been selected for the GB Podium Potential team. I controlled the bout and won, although I did feel rusty."

Image: Pride, confidence, medals and silverware were all at stake. His opponent was local boy Tomasz Karys who would be cheered on by his Polish fans.
