On Thursday, The Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Awards in association with Vitality will recognise those who have achieved, inspired and made a difference in 2017.

Now in its 30th year, the awards celebrate the outstanding contribution to sport made by elite athletes, coaches, administrators, community volunteers and inspirational women.

After three weeks of public nominations, a panel of experts selected the respective shortlists with the winners revealed at Thursday's ceremony at the Hilton London Bankside.

Young Sportswoman of the Year nominees must have been 21 or younger on January 1, 2017
Vitality Team of the Year celebrating the achievements of Britain's successful collective efforts
Disability Sportswoman of the Year the outstanding performer in a disability sport
Community Award for individuals who have actively engaged with different groups of people within their community through sport
The Helen Rollason Award for Inspiration recognising inspirational endeavour in honour of the late sports presenter Helen Rollason
Lifetime Achievement Award recognising a lifetime of sporting success

As well as live coverage of the event from 8pm on Thursday on Sky Sports Mix, Sky Sports Action and Sky Sports Main Event, there will be highlights available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday including on Sky One on Sunday (12pm).

SWOTY will also takeover Sky Sports Mix on Thursday and Friday with a host of women's sports highlights, features, interviews and the ever-popular masterclasses.

SSN will continue build up to the event all week, with Tuesday's Sportswomen taking a special look ahead to this week's coverage.

The live build up begins on Wednesday and we will also be on the red carpet on Thursday for arrivals at the ceremony.
