Holland's Raymond van Barneveld and Co Stompe won the inaugural Cash Converters World Cup of Darts with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Wales. Mark Wesbter played brilliantly to win both of his singles matches, but Barrie Bates lost both of his as the teams went into the doubles match locked together at 2-2. The Dutch proved to be just stronger in the final doubles match though, as they prevailed 8-5 to claim the £40,000 first prize and the first ever World Cup crown.
