Seann William Scott told Soccer AM that 'Stifler' will be as crazy as ever in the new American Pie film.

There's no taming Stifler, says Scott

Seann William Scott says 'Stifler' will be as crazy as ever in the new American Pie film. The aptly named 'American Reunion' is out in April and sees all the original characters from the first film join forces once again. The hilarious comedy series helped launch the careers of all its young cast and none more so than Scott who's portrayal of 'Steve Stifler' earned him legendary status. And the American star says the fourth instalment will not disappoint. "The character is pretty weird," he said. "He's kind of nuts but he was a lot of fun to play, especially being in my 30s now. Anything goes and it was a ball. "Everybody's back from the first movie. I saw it a month ago and it's really funny, one of the funniest films I've done. "I've done some bad films! But it's like the funniest movie I've done and it's really cool."

Violent

In his latest starring role, Scott plays a poor ice hockey player who is amazing with his fists in 'Goon'. The violent comedy is a million miles away from Mighty Ducks and Scott says it was great doing the punching for once! "I always play guys that gets hit a lot, so it was kind of like my superhero movie for me. I get to play a bad ass! "I did a lot of the stunts and we had some good stunt guys and it was pretty violent actually! Liev Schreiber plays like the main Goon who's retiring and he's a big guy and strong guy and he landed a couple on me. "It's kind of like Rocky and it builds up to this big fight at the end and in rehearsal I accidentally clocked him. "I felt awful because I'm huge fan so I was like 'I'm so sorry Liev' and he was like 'yeah, just don't do that again'. So then take one he was like crack, crack, crack! I was like 'what about the whole don't do it again thing'!" So is it as good as the greatest ice hockey ever... Slap Shot!? "Well you know since I started off with American Pie people always compare me to Paul Newman!" he said. "No, Slap Shot's pretty great. I would say it's more like Slap Shot meets Fight Club! That's an exaggeration, but it's kind of in that mould."
