Wade's Mania picks

skysports.com has enlisted WWE Superstar Wade Barrett to predict the WrestleMania results.

By Richard Parr

Last Updated: 04/04/11 11:50am

The WWE's biggest show of the year, WrestleMania XXVII, is live this Sunday night from midnight on Sky Box Office

Both the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight title will be defended in Atlanta along with The Undertaker's undefeated streak in what is sure to be an explosive evening of action.

With so many matches so close to call skysports.com enlisted the help of WWE Superstar Wade Barrett to predict the outcomes of five of the the biggest bouts...

Here's what he had to say:

The Miz (c) v John Cena
WWE Championship

WADE BARRETT: I think that one will be won by John Cena. I think The Miz has done well to hold on to the title for as long as he has. I've competed a lot against John Cena and I know how good he is and he's going to raise his game for WrestleMania. So I can see John Cena walking away with the title for that one.

Edge (c) v Alberto Del Rio
World Heavyweight Title

WADE BARRETT: That's an interesting one. I think Edge has the big-time experience in his favour. I think Alberto Del Rio's very good, very entertaining. He's got Brodus Clay and Ricardo Rodriguez, his ring announcer, I think in his corner. It could effectively turn into a 3-on-1 match. I think the odds are probably looking towards Alberto Del Rio winning that match. It's gonna be a very tight match. It's a tough one to call.

Jerry 'The King' Lawler v Michael Cole

WADE BARRETT: I believe that Stone Cold Steve Austin will be the referee for that one. I can't see how Michael Cole can possibly win that match. I thought at one point he would have a referee on his side but he managed to mess that up on Raw the other week. So I think Jerry 'The King' Lalwer's definitely going to win that one.

CM Punk v Randy Orton

WADE BARRETT: I'm going to go with Randy Orton on that one. I've got a lot of bad blood between myself and both men. But I think I have more unfinished business with CM Punk than I do with Randy Orton. So I'm hoping CM Punk gets punted in the head, like the rest of the Nexus have received recently. And after that I am hoping to do battle with CM Punk somewhere down the line.

The Undertaker v Triple H

WADE BARRETT: That's going to be an incredible match. That's two of the biggest name's that are currently performing in the WWE. I would normally say Triple H would beat the Undertaker. But because it's Wrestlemania, because The Undertaker always raises his game at Wrestlemania, he's gone 18-0 in the past. So I think I'll go with The Undertaker.
