Siobhan-Marie O'Connor continued to impress in Israel with a second silver medal at the European Short Course Championships.

It has been another fine show from Britain's top swimmers as they look to build on their success in the summer's World Championships in Russia.

Triple world champion Adam Peaty grabbed the headlines again with his second silver of the competition as GB racked up their ninth medal of the event on the penultimate day in Netanya.

But there seems to be no stopping the rise of O'Connor as the 20-year-old Sky Academy Sports Scholar picked up more silverware three months after her double medal haul in Kazan.

On Friday night, the Bath swimmer was pipped to gold in the 100m individual medley final behind Hungary's double world champion and rival Katinka Hosszu, who set a new world record.

O'Connor trailed Hosszu again in Saturday's 200m individual medley final to pick up her second silver of the week.

Liam Tancock was second to book his place in the 100m individual medley final, and O'Connor returned to the pool to reach Sunday's final of the 100m butterfly.
