Learning new languages, playing PC games, giving up chocolate and getting fired up for Rio.......

What are the Sky Academy Sports Scholars dreaming of in 2016? Will they be giving up any bad habits or trying new things? Here are their thoughts....

JACK BATESON (boxer)

The only thing on my mind for 2016 is the Olympics. I will do everything I can to make sure I'm there.

I believe if you're going to change something then why wait until a new year or tomorrow. Start now. I'm constantly making changes and adjustments as an athlete and I live a pretty clean life as it is so I won't be changing too much. I'll just set myself targets and goals.

JESSICA JUDD (1500m runner)

I will do core training every day. I keep saying I will but sometimes I am not strict enough! I will aim to stretch every day in the morning and in the evening. I would like to give up chocolate for the new year but I will see how that goes!

For 2016, I want to continue to be as dedicated as I am now. I am in a really good place at the minute and I don't want that to change. I also want to continue to surround myself with the right people and continue my good training routine, and try to stay fit and injury free.

MARK ENGLISH (400m runner)

I want to just keep doing what I'm doing. I'm on a good path. I want an Olympic medal and I'm dreaming about it all the time.

I will do everything I can to realise that dream. When I become an even more efficient runner and one with a stronger aerobic engine then I know I'm capable of it.

SAM OLDHAM (gymnast)

My New Year's resolution is to learn Japanese and start playing my Playstation again! The big thing for me is to stay healthy over a long period of time. So I'm doing everything I can to ensure I am in the best position possible to be on that plane to Rio.

SAVANNAH MARSHALL (boxer)

My resolution is to keep focused. I've had a good end to 2015 and my aim is to carry it on into the new year.

QUILLAN ISIDORE (BMX rider)

My personal resolution is to read more books. For my riding, I want to be a lot more positive during training sessions and races. I've taken that approach already, but I want to make it stick throughout the year as it will make me a better athlete. I really want to enjoy my racing.

HOLLY BRADSHAW (pole vaulter)

My resolution is to stay healthy for one whole year. It's been a while but 2016 is going to be my year where I'm 100 per cent healthy throughout.

OLIVIA BREEN (sprinter and long jumper)

It's obviously a massive year for me. Rio has been at the front of my mind for the last three years and now it's finally here. The prospect of being selected to represent GB in another Paralympic Games is what gets me to training every day.

I am planning to have a fun New Year's Eve with my friends. We may go away together somewhere and let our hair down and then it will be down to business.

ELISE CHRISTIE (speed skater)

I want to be more adaptable so that my performance outcomes can be more consistent. At the moment, I'm very up and down. If I could have a larger range of strengths through adaptability I could be a lot more unbeatable!

I also would like to break less phones. At the moment I'm getting through about six a year!

SIOBHAN-MARIE O'CONNOR (swimmer)

It's going to be a really exciting 2016 and I'm looking forward to what it has to bring. I will be focusing on training and making sure I am in the best shape possible so I can stand on the blocks at each competition, knowing I have put my absolute all into training so I can have no regrets.

I just want to leave no stone unturned and enjoy the journey.

LUCY GARNER (road cyclist)

One big resolution is to become completely fluent in Dutch. I understand most of the language and can have conversations but I'd really like to master the language. I just want to get going with the racing so I want to make sure each training really counts and that I can start the season off with a bang with my new team.

There are a lot of positive things happening for me at the moment so I really hope I can carry that on throughout the season and it would be great to get some nice results.
