Naoyuki Oi speaks to Tony Wrighton after his win at the World Pool Masters......

Naoyuki Oi gave one of the most bizarre post-match reaction interviews ever after his victory at the World Pool Masters.

The Japanese player booked his place in the quarter-finals of the event in Gibraltar with a narrow victory and fronted up to presenter Tony Wrighton's questions in front of the crowd.

But as Wrighton began his line of questioning it soon became clear that this was to be no ordinary interview!

Introducing himself to the crowd, Oi seemed oblivious to the questions instead delivering a hilarious response to the interview that included a congratulatory roar and confirmation that his English wasn't too good.

After Oi's admission that he was indeed fortunate to get through, Wrighton managed to stifle the giggles to press on with his line of questioning.

But the interview got more and more bizarre, hit play on the video at the top of the page to hear the whole thing in full.

You can follow the World Pool Masters on Sky Sports Mix across the weekend with the final on Sunday night
