Jeff Hardy shocked the WWE Universe at Armageddon by fending off Edge and Triple H to win the WWE Championship.
However the victory, Jeff's first ever title win, was drenched with controversy after interference from Vladimir Kozlov and Matt Hardy aided the Legend Thriller's charge.
A pulsating Triple Threat match-up started off at a frenetic pace - Triple H starting the strongest until one of Hardy's rivals - Vladimir Kozlov, and his own brother, Matt, inadvertently helped Jeff capture the title.
After The Moscow Mauler interfered and pulled Triple H out of the ring, all hell broke loose, and in the end, after Matt took down Kozlov, The Game nailed Edge with a Pedigree - virtually sealing another golden win for himself.
However, with Triple H seemingly destined for another title triumph, Jeff ascended the top rope and delivered a career-changing Swanton Bomb to earn the victory and the gold.
