Masters and Reks at loggerheads on Superstars
Chris Masters felt the cruel hand of revenge this week as he was laid to waste by Tyler Reks after another WWE Superstars victory, this time over Curt Hawkins.
Masters completed his third win on the bounce on Thursday night's show, the previous two being over Reks himself, when he synched in the MasterLock and Hawkins faded into unconsciousness.
However, Masters' celebration was soon cut short as the man who had twice succumbed to the MasterLock in previous weeks came to the ring and attacked him, dropping him with his Burning Hammer finisher to finish standing tall over his rival.
The pair seem to be heading for more prominence on SmackDown with this feud potentially catapulting both of them onto a spot on the Friday Night programme.
The former WWE Tag Team Champions, Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov began the long climb back to the top of the division with another victory over Zack Ryder and Primo.
Marella struck with the Cobra on Ryder to pick up the win.
Dominate
With the road to Wrestlemania in full swing, it seems obvious that the WWE has decided to catapult its stars into the mainframe, with the continued appearances of the Wrestlemania host The Rock, and the return of Stone Cold Steve Austin this Monday Night on Raw.
This however leaves the likes of Marella and co having to make do with TV time on the secondary shows.
R-Truth also picked up a win over the returning William Regal.
The 'British Brawler' was dominating early on in his return but it took only one counter from Truth, who hit the 'What's Up' to get the referees count.
Truth has a future shot at the Tag Team titles in the pipeline, with his rookie Johnny Curtis, who gained the opportunity as the winner of NXT Season 4.
The show this week closed with a repeat of The Rock's response to John Cena on Raw this past Monday night.
Make sure you don't miss the return of the Rattlesnake this Monday Night on Raw at 2am on
Sky Sports HD3.
Stone Cold is due to appear, and there have been teasers that there is a possibility The Rock will also be in attendance, with the potential for a huge meeting between two of the biggest rivals in the history of the company.
