National Badminton League: Team Derby experience encourages coach Donna Kellogg

Team Derby coach Donna Kellogg is confident that an experienced squad will boost her side in the inaugural National Badminton League.
Derby get their season underway with an away fixture against Birmingham Lions on Monday at the National Indoor Arena and Kellogg is backing her team to get off to a good start.
“I am confident because we’ve got an experienced team," said Kellogg, herself a former Olympian. "Our team is full of European medallists and players who have won national titles, as well as some young up and coming players from Derbyshire.
“The players have played in numerous high pressure situations with the new scoring system, which will make it more exciting for the crowd.
“It does however increase the number of key points in a match so their experience will be really important, and hopefully that will go in our favour throughout the season."
The NBL will be shown live on Sky Sports with Derby's clash with Loughborough Sport on 3 November set to be broadcast.
