Adventurer Ben Fogle described jumping off the Turn the Tide on Plastic yacht during the 2017 Volvo Ocean Race as "an experience he will never forget."
Fogle was the designated leg jumper for Turn the Tide on Plastic in Lisbon ahead of the start of Leg 2, which sees the seven crews cover 7,000 nautical miles as they make the voyage to Cape Town.
The 44-year-old has a reputation for taking on extreme challenges. He partnered with James Cracknell to row across the Atlantic Ocean, has crossed Antarctica on foot, run across the Sahara and also crossed the Empty Quarter on a camel.
An environmentalist at heart, Fogle is an ambassador for the World Wildlife Fund charity and in September was the United Nation's Patron of the Wilderness.
Fogle is also good friends with Turn the Tide on Plastic skipper Dee Caffari.
