US superstar Simone Biles and GB's Olympic gold medalist Max Whitlock are the headline names for The Superstars Of Gymnastics, a major new event for 2019.
Matchroom Multi Sport made the announcement on Thursday that will see big-time gymnastics back at The O2 in March next year featuring the sport's premier talent.
Biles, who won five medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics including four gold, is the sport's most high-profile name with her electrifying routines leaving crowds in thrall. Still just 21, she will be a major draw for the inaugural event which takes place in the Docklands on March 23, 2019.
Additional names will be confirmed over the coming weeks and months but alongside Biles, Britain's Whitlock has ensured two of the sport's biggest names will be among those in action for the event, which will be live on Sky Sports.
Whitlock, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, also features as gymnastics returns to London after last year's Athletics World Cup brought eight nations going head to head in a Ryder Cup-style event.
With Biles confirmed to be part of the line-up, it gives the event arguably its most recognisable name and the American is relishing the all-new event.
"The Superstars of Gymnastics is going to be something very special and something very big for the sport of gymnastics," said Matchroom Sport Chairman Barry Hearn.
"We will be bringing superstars from around the world to London for a world-class showcase of this brilliant sport.
"With Simone and Max already on board and more big names to come, it is going to be something you simply won't want to miss."
