Mark Selby and Ronnie O'Sullivan will meet in the Premier League final after respective wins over Stephen Hendry and Joe Perry.
Hendry and Perry crash in semi-finals
Mark Selby produced a break-building masterclass to demolish Stephen Hendry 5-0 in the semi-finals of the Premier League.
Selby reeled off three successive centuries en route to a stunning win and will play Ronnie O'Sullivan in Sunday's final. O'Sullivan edged out Joe Perry 5-4 in a tense second semi-final.
There was little sign of the fireworks to come when Selby claimed the opening frame courtesy of a 34 break and two other modest contributions.
Ton treble
The Leicester potter then stepped into gear, rolling in three consecutive centuries to open a 4-0 lead.
A contribution of 110 was followed by 128 and 115 to move Selby to the brink of victory.
And he brought the curtain down on a magnificent display with a 77 break.
"I'm a little bit disappointed not to make four centuries in a row," joked Selby afterwards.
"To beat Stephen is a hard enough as it is, to beat him in the way I did was really impressive.
"I've been playing well in practice for a while, but when you come to the match table it's a question of handling your nerves and the occasion - I did that tonight."
Rocket launch
The second semi-final between O'Sullivan and Perry was a less spectacular affair, with O'Sullivan eventually coming through thanks to a 104 break in the decider.
The world champion took a one-frame lead four times but was pegged back on each occasion by a dogged Perry, whose highest break was an effort of exactly 100 in the eighth frame.
It was O'Sullivan who raised his game at just the right moment with a century in the decider keeping alive his hopes of a fifth straight Premier League title.
