English rugby league star Luke Menzies was invited to a WWE try-out during the wrestling company's visit to Scotland.

The 28-year-old Yorkshireman, whose former clubs include Hull Kingston Rovers and Salford Red Devils, was one of more than 30 athletes to be sought out by WWE.

Menzies was joined by Ulsterman Sean O'Hagan, the winner of Ireland's Strongest Man 2015.

A series of British wrestlers were also given a chance to impress, including Pete Dunne, who competed in this summer's Cruiserweight Classic, 19-year-old Tyler Bate and Trent Seven.
