Ted DiBiase: I prefer modern WWE Raw to Attitude Era

Ted DiBiase believes Monday Night Raw is better in the modern, family-friendly era than it was during the late-1990s peak.
The Attitude Era saw WWE's flagship show - which will celebrate its 25th anniversary live on Sky Sports Arena at 1am on Monday night - reach huge levels of popularity thanks to the antics of competitors such as 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and The Rock.
It became famous for more reality-based and edgy storylines which often included adult themes, which is in stark contrast to the modern era, which is predominantly 'PG friendly' and geared towards family entertainment.
DiBiase, who shot to great fame as the Million Dollar Man and was later the manager of Austin when he first arrived in the then-WWF, prefers the current product.
"Everybody's talking about how it's a PG programme now and I think that's great," DiBiase told Sky Sports. "I was not a big fan of the Attitude Era.
"Some of the things they did were very good and very funny but I was never a fan of the sleazy stuff.
"I was telling someone not long ago that the No 1 attraction in our country in terms of entertainment is Disneyland, and that's all family-friendly.
"I can't tell you how many people came up to me and said they loved the show years ago but they couldn't watch it with their own kids.
"That's because of the sleaze and I couldn't agree more. Nobody's happier than I am that it's PG.
"Some of the top grossest movies now are children's animated features, they're making more money than action movies.
"And you'd never find a Hollywood A-lister years ago doing voice overs for those films and they do now. You know why? Because everybody's got a price."
