Anthony Davis scored a season-high 44 points to lead the New Orleans Pelicans to a 118-114 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Davis dominated Thunder Steven Adams, hitting 16 of his 32 shots and pulling down 18 rebounds. He added two steals and a block for good measure.
AD opened his account in the game's opening minute, latching on to a floated Soloman Hill pass for an easy dunk.
With 4:20 left in the second quarter he drove hard at Adams, drawing a foul from the bruising Kiwi while scoring with a floated fallaway jumper. He rounded off the first half with an alley-oop slam from Jrue Holiday's pass seconds before half-time.
Davis skied high above the rim in the third quarter to produce a one-handed tipped finish off Holiday's lofted pass, drawing a foul in the process.
He reached 40 points for the second successive game - and for the fifth time this season - with five minutes left in the game. Taking a pass from Tim Frazier at the top of the key, one dribble took him past Paul George before his left-handed floater dropped home.
