Chicago Bulls to drop Jabari Parker from regular rotation

The Chicago Bulls intend to drop forward Jabari Parker from their regular rotation, according to a report from ESPN.
With Chandler Hutchison sidelined through illness Parker played in Thursday's 97-91 loss to the Orlando Magic in the first of two games in Mexico, and played a season-low 19 minutes against the Sacramento Kings on Monday.
The 23-year-old started for the Bulls throughout November, but then returned to the bench when Lauri Markkanen returned from an elbow injury earlier this month.
Head coach Jim Boylen said: "Jabari has been great, he understands.
"Jabari wants to make it about helping the team win and that's what I've asked him to do."
Parker joined his hometown Bulls on a two-year, $40m deal over the offseason.
The second year on his deal is a team option, but there have been no conversations between Parker and his representatives on a potential buyout that could become an increasing possibility closer to the trade deadline.
Parker is averaging 15.8 points and 7.1 rebounds in 28 games with 17 starts so far this season.
The former No 2 overall pick missed a majority of the past two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks due to injury.
