Having overcome some early-season struggles, the Spurs have become increasingly potent as the campaign has drawn on, leaning heavily on good home form to move above .500 and into the Western Conference playoff places.

While the majority of NBA offenses are now heavily reliant on three-point shooting, the Spurs starters rely on the mid-range games of DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge for the main scoring punch. The Spurs duo lead the league in two-point field goal attempts.

The Pelicans boast a talented roster led by Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday but a combination of injuries and inconsistency (especially away from home) have left them below .500 and three games outside the playoff places in the West.

Davis boasts season averages of 29.3 points, 13.3 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per games but is currently sidelined with a sprained left index finger and is unlikely to feature against San Antonio.

In his absence, the Pelicans are nowhere near as dangerous. They've lost four of the six games 'The Brow' has missed in the current campaign. Look for Holiday and frontcourt duo Julius Randle and Jahlil Okafor to pick up the scoring slack if Davis is not fit to face San Antonio.
